Our Role
We were appointed as Project Manager and Contract Administrator, working directly for Eastbourne Borough Council. Our services included development of the client brief, preparation and submission of the National Lottery Heritage Fund Round Two bid, and ongoing cost and progress reporting to funders throughout the project. The scheme was delivered using a traditional procurement route.
Project Details:
A new build 3 storey fair faced concrete framed building built adjacent to a Grade I listed operational Congress Theatre and alongside the National Tennis Venue of Devonshire Park. The works were carried out on a restrictive site requiring access to the theatre and major tennis events at all times. The building provides conference facilities, a new permanent gallery, gallery store, an Archiving space, exhibition gallery, community space and catering/retail facilities.
CM were appointed as Project Managers and Contract Administrators for the new build working directly for Eastbourne County Council. The project was multi funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (TNLHF), Arts Council England, South East England Devolpment Agency and Eastbourne Borough Council. CM's appointed services included the development of the client brief, the preparation and submission of the TNLHF Round Two bid and the ongoing cost and progress reporting to TNLHF throughout the project, as well as project management services.
