Project Overview
Description
Polka Theatre was the first UK’s stand-alone children’s theatre venue, dedicated to producing and presenting work for young audiences. This transformational redevelopment project delivered new activity spaces and improvements and upgrades to existing facilities and equipment, including outdoor play area and garden.
Our role
Appointed as Project Managers, we supported the client team throughout the redevelopment, providing leadership across programme, coordination and stakeholder management. We worked closely with consultants and key partners to develop the project scope, strengthen governance and align delivery with funding requirements. We also assisted in the preparation, coordination and submission of the successful Stage 2 bid to Arts Council England, ensuring the application was robust, evidence-based and aligned with strategic objectives.

The redevelopment project provided:
· flexible, new Adventure Theatre for the under-6s (with increased capacity)
