Our Role

We were appointed to undertake a comprehensive review of the organisation’s governance, business planning and development strategy to support future capital works, with an indicative project value in the range of £2–5 million.

Project Details

Our commission included the preparation of an operational and construction feasibility study and strategy report, providing a robust evidence base to inform future funding and delivery decisions.

The review addressed:

Governance structure and effectiveness

Board composition, skills and capacity

Volunteer engagement and utilisation

Identification and prioritisation of essential capital works

Operational sustainability and future use

Development strategy and delivery options

The study was informed by regular public consultation and ongoing liaison with potential funders to ensure alignment with community needs and funding expectations.

Funding & Next Steps

The work forms the precursor to a more detailed development study and the submission of an Expression of Interest to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Key Outcomes

Clear strategic framework for future capital investment
